UPDATE SAGUACHE COUNTY GOVERNMENT SERVICES DURING COVID-19

UPDATED 04-22-2020

In an effort to slow the potential spread of COVID-19 in our community,
Saguache County government will have limited access to buildings 
beginning Monday, April 27, 2020. 

In an effort to move forward with our job duties, a decision was made
to begin integrating the public back into the county sector.  

Staff will be providing limited essential services via phone and online avenues.
In-person contact for receiving essential services will have limited restrictions during this time. 

These adjustments to county services and public access will be in place until further notice.

HELP WANTED: LANDFILL ATTENDANT

Saguache County Landfill is Hiring for 2 Full-Time Attendants
 
REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must fill out and submit an application, must be an experienced front end loader operator and possess a valid driver’s license. Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and six months or more of relevant experience. Final candidates applying with Saguache County will be required to submit and pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check. Pay D.O.E.
Landfill Attendant is a full time 40 hour per week position – starting at 8:00 A.M. each day Tuesday through Saturday (subject to change) Those applying must be an experienced front end loader operator, have the ability to do strenuous outdoor physical labor in extreme weather conditions and be able to lift and/or move 20 lbs. to 75 lbs.

RFP Audit 2020

Saguache County is currently accepting proposals for the Saguache County 2020 Fiscal Year audit.  The ideal firm or individual will have extensive knowledge and experience related to conducting governmental audits in accordance with generally accepted accounting and auditing standards, and preparing financial statements that conform to all state, federal and industry guidelines.  

All interested parties should submit a letter of interest and a proposal for services by November 6, 2020 at 3:00 PM to: Saguache County Administration office.  For additional information contact Saguache County Administration at 719-655-2231 or .

HELP WANTED: Code Enforcement Officer

The Saguache County Land Use Office is accepting applications for a full time Saguache County Code Enforcement Officer.  Applicants must have a valid Colorado Divers License, must pass a criminal background check as well as a pre-employment drug test.

Saguache County Sales Tax Grants Now Available!

Saguache County Sales Tax Grants now available!

The Saguache County Board of Commissioners will be taking Grant Applications for

Saguache County Sales Tax Grants until 3:00PM, Friday, August 14, 2020.

 

To be eligible grant applications must be for either:  Emergency Services/Public Health

and Safety; Youth and Senior programs, projects, or organizations; or Renewable Energy projects/Business Opportunities and Job Creation.

The position requires a master’s degree in a public health discipline; a nurse candidate shall be licensed to practice in Colorado within six months of hire; OR, similar experience to a nurse with exemplary history and at least two years of administrative experience in public health, and willing to seek additional public health education and experience within five years of hire. Public Notice Forest Reserve Title III Proposed Project

The Saguache County Board of Commissioners is soliciting public proposals to spend

Forest Service Title III funds for any projects that will be used for projects that adjoin\s

the US Federal Property. Written proposals must be received by 3PM on MONDAY, July

27, 2020.
