UPDATED 04-22-2020

In an effort to slow the potential spread of COVID-19 in our community,
Saguache County government will have limited access to buildings
beginning Monday, April 27, 2020.

In an effort to move forward with our job duties, a decision was made
to begin integrating the public back into the county sector.

Staff will be providing limited essential services via phone and online avenues.
In-person contact for receiving essential services will have limited restrictions during this time.

These adjustments to county services and public access will be in place until further notice.

The Public Health Dept. offers the following services:

• Home and Community Based Services
• Regional and County Disaster Preparedness
• HCP for Children With Special Needs
• Nursing Services - Immunization and Vaccination Fees

The most common symptoms for COVID-19  are fever, cough, and shortness of breath.   At the current time, if a person thinks they have symptoms, they should:

EITHER call their own provider OR call the nurse line at San Luis Valley Health at: (719) 589-2511 and press 9.

Going to the clinic or hospital without calling ahead could expose more people to the virus, so please call first.

Persons can be tested only if ordered by a medical provider.

Your provider will probably make special arrangements if they suspect you have the coronavirus and want you to come in for testing, or for an appointment.
