The mission of the Saguache County Prevention Partners is to create a healthy community for our youth by promoting healthy lifestlye choices and preventing substance abuse as well as other contrubuting factors of chronic disease and addiction.
The SCPP is an initiative focused on impacting community level change in the prevention of underage drinking and tobacco use. The coalition works to change people's perceptions, attitudes and habits around substance abuse. The Saguache County Public Health oversees the project which employs one part-time position, a coordinator, and a quarter time position, evaluation liaison. In addition youth consultants are hired to represent out three school districts.
