Primary Election 2010
The 2010 Primary Election on August 10 will be for Democrats, Republicans and Libertarians as all three parties have contested races. Registered party voters may vote at the polls, early vote at the Courthouse or request a mail- in ballot by Aug 3.
In order to vote in the Primary election of your choice you must be registered with that party. If you are a current member of a recognized party and want to vote in a different party’s primary, you must change your registration by July 12, 2010. If you are unaffiliated, you may declare for a party during early voting or at your polling place and vote in that party’s primary. Mail – in unaffiliated voters can change their affiliation by July 12, 2010 to get a Primary ballot mailed to them. July 12th is also the last day for unregistered voters the get registered so they may vote in the primary election.
The Primary Election polling places:
Precinct 1 - Villa Grove Church
Precinct 2 - Mail-in only
Precinct 3 - Saguache County Courthouse
Precinct 4 - Moffat School Round Room
Precinct 5 - Crestone Community Center
Precinct 6 - Dolores Nusbaum’s house 41605 County Rd G
Precincts 7, 8, 9 - Center School Library
Early voting will take place in the Clerk’s office in the Courthouse from Monday, August 2 to Friday, August 6, 2010.
Bring your Colorado ID with you to vote in person.
This year you have a new option for voter registration besides coming into our office in Saguache. Govotecolorado.com is a new online service set up by the Secretary of State.
If you have a current Colorado Driver License you can register online. Already registered? You can confirm your registration at this website. Once your registration is verified, you may update your address, party affiliation or permanent mail-in ballot status.

Registration Fee Increase in July
